Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.
Characters
The Narrator - The person is the central character in the story and is a folklorist from Montreal who specializes in the A----- tribe, a pitiful, all-but-decimated, Iroquois tribe.
F. - This person is the main character's best friend and lover since childhood. The two developed a mythology around comic books.
Edith - This person is the main character's spouse and a member of the A----- tribe, As a child, a group of white men chased this person into the woods outside Montreal and raped this person.
