Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Tre Uther (The Homeplace of Uther) - This is where Merewyn was born and raised.

Les Beux Castle - This place is the fortress where Rumon was raised.

Atheling - This word is Anglo-Saxon for of high born ancestry, especially the heir apparent of the royal family.

Wherwell Forest - This is the site where King Edgar speared Earl Athelwald for deceiving him about Alfrida and her beauty.

Rumon's Quest - This is the vision that Rumon had at 15 that brought awe, joy, and a sense of dedication to him.
