• Sara's group was the first Jewish transport to arrive at Stutthof and they were alienated from the other prisoners. The isolation hurt Sara.

• The fight for food was terrible, but it gave Sara hope that they still had energy and had not given up.
• In January, the women were inspected and given food before boarding a train. Sara found the speculation of a prisoner exchange was naive.

• The Germans were delighted at where the women were going and enjoyed toying with them.

• The women were taken to Auschwitz, where new arrivals were not treated well.

• January 13, 1944, Sara became a zugang and were inspected without clothes by the SS...
