This is the town where Addie Bundren had family and where she wanted to be buried.

New Hope

This town is three miles from where the Bundrens live and it is suggested that Addie be buried there. However, Anse intends to take Addie to the further town where her family is buried.

Mottson

This is the town along the way that the Bundrens stop in for medicine for Cash after he has broken his leg in the river incident. Dewey Dell tries to buy a drug that will abort her unwanted pregnancy in this town but is rejected.
