Objective
The objective of this lesson is for students to explore the author's background and personal interest in the subject matter reflected in the novel. Lauren Wilkinson is an American author best known for her debut novel, American Spy. Wilkinson has taught writing at Columbia University and the Fashion Institute of Technology. In the summer of 2019, President Barack Obama included American Spy on his Summer Reading List.
