Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Yorkshire - This is an area of England that is pastoral and agricultural.

The Dales - This is a region in Yorkshire where much of the book is set.

Darrowby - This is the town where Herriot practices as a veterinarian.

Skedale House - This is the home of Dr. Farnon and where his practice is located.

Heston Grange - This is the name of the Aldersons' farm.
