Character Descriptions

Characters

Benjamin Marchand - This character was sent to the hijackers by his father. As a result, he was tortured for information. He is never able to fully recover from the torturing and commits suicide at the end of the novel.

Brigadier General Marcus L. Marchand - This character is never able to get close to his son because of his important position with the US military. He decides to send his son in to negotiate with the terrorists.
