House Picture

Using what is given in the book create a picture of the house the Mayles buy in Provence. You can use any medium: pencil, watercolor, gouache, tempera, pastel, acrylic or pen and ink.

Skit

Write a skit using characters from the book. You can put the characters in any situation you want to invent, but they must remain true to their character in personality and speech.

Some of the students of the class can act out the skit in class.

Poem

Write a poem describing the beauty of Provence, the people of Provence or anything else about Provence. Use any style.

Limerick

Write a limerick about one of the funny characters in the book. Be sure to look up how to write a limerick in the library or on the Internet.
