Object Descriptions

This section provides a short description of all the major objects in the book. This can be printed out as a study guide for students, used as a "key" for leading a class discussion, or you can jump to the quiz/homework section to find worksheets that incorporate these descriptions into a variety of question formats.

Objects

Turkey - This place was the site where nearly one million Armenians were killed in 1915.

United Nations - This is an international organization with member countries that include the United States.

Germany - This nation was governed by the Nazis during the late-1930s and early-1940s.

Cambodia - This Southeast Asian country was governed by the Khmer Rouge and experienced genocide in the 1970s.

Iraq - During the late 1980s, almost 100,000 Kurds were killed with chemical weapons in this Middle Eastern country.
