Character Descriptions

Characters
Odili Samalu - The narrator and protagonist, this character is a native of Urua village.
M. A. (Micah) Nanga - The prime antagonist, this character is Nigeria's Minister of Culture.
Mrs. Margaret (Mama) Nanga - This character is the progressive woman the Minister of Culture marries in his schoolteacher and scoutmaster days.
Edna Odo - This is the Minister of Culture's intended parlor wife, whom he has trained at a women's college.
