Create a guide with images and explanations for all the equipment listed in this book.
Have the students write an article about a piece of nature they are familiar with, similar to the ones written in this book that were featured in Field and Stream. You could give extra credit points to students who actually try to submit their work for publication.
A Listening Walk
Take the students to a piece of nature nearby, where they can split up and listen to nature in the same way Hill liked to. If this cannot be done as a class, it could be assigned as homework.
Competition in Hunting
Hill stated his opinion on competition in hunting and fishing often. Hold a debate between the two sides of this issue. Have a guest judge listen to the debate and declare a winning side.
