They many use any type of materials they find suitable to represent the different parts of a cell. Have the students present their models to the class and explain their work.

Assistant Professor

Barbara was made an assistant professor at the University of Missouri thanks to Lewis Stadler. Have the students choose to be an "assistant" to someone in a field or career that they would love to have in the future. By being the "assistant," the students will interview their "mentor" and discover the in's and out's of the job as well as finding out what the job entails on a day-to-day basis.
