Character Descriptions
This section provides a short description of all the major characters in the book. Eleanor Smith - Not much is known about this character's past. She is down on her luck when Rosemary befriends her and invites her for tea at her home.
Rosemary Fell - This character lives in high society, is vivacious and loves company.
Philip Alsop - This man is first introduced in the novel as Rosemary's fiancé.
Jane Howard - Rosemary's friend. She dresses plainly and has uncommonly short hair for the times.
Gertrude - Rosemary's housekeeper.
