The New York State school commissioner makes public-school teachers subject to dismissal for active membership in the Communist Party.

The fifth annual report of the federal Board of Vocational Education declares that between 1 July 1920 and 30 June 1921 the board cooperated with the states in the vocational training of 305,224 students in 3,859 schools. The most popular areas for training were home economics, trade and industry, and agriculture.
