Anti-Semitic laws made the daily life of Jews more and more difficult, and all kinds of people were considered to be enemies of the state. People were often arrested for no reason. Nazi soldiers randomly harassed people on the streets, humiliating and sometimes cruelly beating them. German soldiers came into the homes of Jewish people and took furniture, linens, and silver and sent it back to their country.
