Mexican rebels, led by Arnulfo Gomez and Francisco R. Serrano, revolt against the candidacy of former president Alvaro Obregon, who wishes to succeed Plutarco Elias Calles, president from 1924 to 1928. The rebels are defeated, anc on 5 November Gomez is executed.
