Zenobia is Romania's answer to Nadja, and in many respects it is an improvement. In an atmosphere drifting between dreams and a dreamlike reality, the hero of the novel (whose name is coincidentally Gellu Naum) meets a woman, Zenobia, who is more than a woman.
