If you hear from a YMCA representative this month, don't be surprised.
The Alfred Campanelli YMCA has started a month-long campaign that tries to collect money for kids and families in need. The money is geared to those who want to use facilities but might not have the money for certain programs. The money goes toward youth and child-related programs.
The YMCA kicked off the "Strong Kids Campaign" fund-raiser at a luncheon that has turned into an annual campaign.
Last year, fund-raising brought $60,000.
