Ed Clemente, president of the Southern Wayne County Chamber of Commerce, has a surefire test to find a successful downtown. He looks to see where people congregate when the Red Wings win the Stanley Cup. In Oakland County, he said, that area is downtown Royal Oak. Downriver, it's downtown Wyandotte. Other Downriver communities not only have taken notice of Wyandotte's business district, they also have begun to revive their downtowns.
