Monarch Notes 01-01-1963 The Knight's Tale Introduction: The Knight's Tale is a romance of chivalry. Romantic story is customarily set in a faraway place and usually deals with extraordinary persons involved in strange or unrealistics events. "Chivalry," which comes from a French word for "horse," is a term for the entire set of customs and principles, and the code of honor connected with knighthood.
