With 'Red Dragon,' you get exactly what you expect

Which of these things -- "The English Patient," "Breaking the Waves," "State and Main" "Reservoir Dogs," "Howards End" and "Rush Hour" -- is not like the others?
Clearly, the first five films share a critical esteem and creative intelligence that makes the last film look like the sitcom that it happily was. Conversely, the box-office success of the last film was greater than each of the others, and all of them combined.
