I hope the book he has devoted to it will contribute to making it a little less so. For this to happen, it will have to be bought by others than the already converted. I certainly don't want to discourage gay and gay-friendly people from reading Homophobia. Far from it. And it would probably be pointless to adjure card-carrying gay haters to pic...
