Talk of Wessex generally conjures up visions of Thomas Hardy and lowering Egdon Heath or King Alfred and his Saxon kingdom. But within the ICM, Wessex is becoming known as a rejuvenated, lively branch which is attracting growing support. Ten years ago, the branch was virtually dormant, but it is now very active and membership has steadily recovered over the last few years to the current total of around 310 members.
