From the moment his teammates put it in his hands, David Williams could not look away. Distractions surrounded him, but his attention never wavered. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase star couldn't help it. He never had held a state championship trophy. Williams scored in the fourth minute of the second half and the Barons' defense stiffened when necessary to give B-CC a 1-0 win over Bel Air last night in the Maryland 3A boys' soccer title game at South River. Afterward, the Barons (12-3-2) engaged in an "Ole!" chant with their fans, but Williams barely participated. He just kept staring at the trophy....
