William M. Drummey, 81, former administrative assistant to the late speaker of the US House, John W. McCormack, died Saturday in South Shore Hospital in Weymouth. Born in Boston, Mr. Drummey graduated from Boston College High School, attended Boston College and graduated from the Bentley School of Accounting. In 1962, Mr. Drummey was appointed chief procurement officer for the federal government in New England. He retired in 1976 and then worked for McCormack until 1980.
