Conservative press critics have renewed speculation about the cause for the crash of TWA Flight 800 in 1996. The assumption is that the federal government failed to protect the airplane's passengers, all of whom died in the crash, so the Clinton administration covered up the actual cause for the crash. An FBI investigation has not produced a definitive cause, although bombs and missles have been eliminated.
