ARE YOU READING NOW? I AM reading The Watchman by Robert Crais,published by Ballentine. It's one in his Elvis Cole series and it's about twofairly tough men, a private eye and his assistant in Los Angeles who arebodyguards to a young girl. It's one minute tragic and violent, and the nextpoetic and extremely sensitive.
The relationships are beautifully drawn. It's set in the present day. I thoughtit was too good to leave behind, and gave it away to a stewardess on aContinental airline flight (Anne is presently touring the U.S.).
