Western Life Lands Olympic Contract Western Life Ins. Co. has been awarded the contract from the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) to serve as the principal health insurer for America's athletes through 1992. Under the terms of the agreement, Western Life will provide coverage for all health care services and accident claims--excluding the initial $25,000 per athlete for sports-related injuries--for approximately 2,000 athletes and several hundred of their dependents.
