Almost everybody's got 'em, but warts can be unwanted and some moles can be dangerous. A local dermatologist talks to Today's Woman about when and how these skin anomalies should be removed.
When should a mole or wart be removed?
Some moles can lead to cancer, but often there are warning signs that a mole is becoming cancerous. Moles need to be removed if they are changing in size, shape, or color, says Dr. Laura Klein of Brownsboro Dermatology. She also recommends having a doctor look at and possibly remove any new moles that appear.
