WILLIAMSBURG -- Board members at The College of William and Mary on Thursday unanimously endorsed a $400 midyear tuition increase - the largest amount yet statewide as schools grapple with multimillion-dollar budget reductions.
College officials noted that aside from the University of Virginia, William and Mary faces the steepest cuts in the latest round of budget reductions. They average 12.8 percent, or $5.2 million, per year for the next two years.
