TIGHT gauge tolerances and good film flatness are claimed for Windmoller & Holscher's latest Varex HDPE extrusion system for mono- and multi-layer products. Trim waste is avoided because tube width tolerances are at a minimum.
A high performance barrier screw permits low melt temperatures and produces a highly homogenous melt. Films of 9 microns or thinner show good dart drop test results.
