The Virtuous Woman, a business that catered to women who wanted to learn homespun skills, has closed.

The business earlier faced closing at the hands of the Village of Germantown, which first determined that it was operating in an area not zoned for business and later found numerous code violations.

Local talk shows took up the cause, and a crowd packed Village Hall on behalf of the women.
