Seven rooms at the palace of Versailles are being renovated. The rooms were planned as picture galleries commemorating France's historical exploits but were never completed. The renovation is financed by the champagne producer Moet & Chandon and the rooms will be used for an exhibition celebrating Moet & Chandon's 250th anniversary. The French government are paying for the restoration of the large paintings to be hung in the rooms.
