The Dual Cyclone vacuum system of James Dyson represented a breakthrough in vacuum cleaner design as he successfully blended aesthetics with workability. With imagination and determination, Dyson was able to create a system that is desirable yet efficient. Easy to operate, the system adapts the internal engineering of vacuum extractor units in spray painting. Its success has led to its being the subject of an exhibit at London's Design Museum until Feb. 1997.
