The current investigation into gambling on high school basketball games reminds me that I'm glad I never became a sports writer.
That was my ambition in high school and college. Oh boy, getting paid towatch all those talented athletes do or die for the old home team. It would be hog heaven for a guy who invariably got picked last when they chose up sides in the neighborhood games.
