Soundview Technologies Inc. unveiled a working prototype of their V Chip Converter, a device to allow existing TVs to make use of V-chip signals, at the 1997 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV. The V Chip Converter connects directly to a TV's power cord and antenna or cable. The converter will be priced in the $40 to $50 range and will become available nationwide in Fall 1997.
