Is he or isn't he? Only University of Minnesota officials and former Vice President Al Gore know, and neither is talking.

But another tantalizing hint that Gore might be in line for an honorary doctorate at the U was dropped at Friday's Board of Regents meeting.

As the board approved a list of undisclosed recommended honorees, board Chairman Anthony Baraga took a minute and spilled the beans on who some of those folks were. Especially the ones from northern Minnesota, where Baraga lives.
