Iowa City, Iowa -- Gophers defensive coordinator David Lockwood gathered his players on the sideline for an animated discussion in the first quarter Saturday.
Lockwood was clearly unhappy after watching Iowa zip up and down the field for touchdowns on its first two possessions. He gave his players an earful, but things only got worse.
After showing marked improvement the past few weeks, the Gophers defense took a giant step backwards in a 52-28 loss at Kinnick Stadium.
