Where parking lots stretch and grain elevators loom, the University of Minnesota sees a football stadium and five biomedical research buildings. Those ambitions have helped drive the biggest expansion of the university's Minneapolis campus in more than 30 years, in effect moving the campus' border several blocks east from Huron Boulevard to 25th Avenue SE.
