Having sifted through the debris from Thursday's lopsided loss at Michigan State, the Gophers women's basketball team visits Purdue this afternoon for a game now critical to their Big Ten title intentions.

It also could suggest whether that 84-61 loss - over almost before it began - was an aberration or an alarm.

The Gophers' seven-game winning streak - which began right after Purdue took the Big Ten lead with an overtime victory at Williams Arena a month ago - ended Thursday when they trailed 13-0, 27-7 and 57-27 by halftime.
