Anna Maria Lankes, a Dose reader, e-mailed us Monday wanting to know why - especially in a heat wave - Jamesville Beach and Green Lakes are not open for swimming before 11 a.m.
"I was at Green Lakes this weekend and they had to make constant announcements that the beach wasn't open yet and to please get out of the water," she writes, "the kids were not happy (and there were many of them)!"
