"The Jackie Thomas Show" may rank as the least eagerly awaited new series of the season. But then, were any of them eagerly awaited? The new sitcom, in which Tom Arnold plays an obnoxious TV star - one based loosely on his wife, Roseanne Arnold - seems a solid piece of comedy workmanship, yet remains stubbornly and unfunnily off-putting. It's all about show business, after all, and the American television viewer is drenched in that subject nonstop all day and all night all the time.
