Tomlinson, South win TCU standout helps make Sherman winning coach Associated Press Sunday, January 21, 2001 Mobile, Ala. -- Texas Christian's LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 88 yards and a touchdown as the South held off the North, 21-16, on Saturday in the Senior Bowl. Tomlinson, a Heisman Trophy finalist who won the Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back, was named the game's overall most valuable player. He got his yardage in 19 carries, and also had a 28- yard reception. The South, which led 21-3 at halftime, was coached by Green Bay Packers coach Mike Sherman and his staff....
