Quite likely the British folk story of 2007 was Rachel Unthank and the Winterset. Their second album, The Bairns, was released to rapturous reviews, and saw them headlining the prestigious Cambridge Folk Festival and undertaking a lengthy tour, graduating from folk clubs to theaters.
