Wining and dining your clients may not be the most effective way to network, according to a report out recently from Lloyds TSB Business. Networking in Business reveals that whilst a quarter of small business owner managers view business lunches as an important tool for networking, a massive 70% prefer face-to-face contact (excluding lunches/corporate entertainment) or a phone call. Forty percent even chose e-mail, exceeding written communications and corporate entertainment.
