The market for automotive tires is broadly made up of two segments: original equipment and replacement market segments. As a result of the growing number of motor vehicles in the country, the replacement market segment absorbs most of the automotive tire supply. For illustration, the replacement market segment last year absorbed 6.27 million units, accounting for 84.5% of the total automotive tire sales.
