With his latest novel, Headhunter, Canadian novelist Timothy Findley is once again poised for recognition in the U.S. It is a situation that has recurred at regular intervals since 1964, when the late Grace Bechtold, of Bantam, bought his first novel, The Last of the Crazy People.
