LEE TENG-HUI, president of Taiwan for just over a month, says he has two guides. The first is the late president, Chiang Ching-kuo. "The second is the one to whom I say my daily morning prayer ... I have a deep interest in the Bible. Simply stated, I abandon my own existence and listen to what God tells me is the right thing to do."
