The fear didn't fully form until this morning, when she opened her eyes. Normally out of bed early, like a punky cheerleader, Kathy Fernelius slept late and said little on the day of her first chemotherapy session. Outside a few hours later, dark clouds sit at the edge of the sky on the hot Wednesday morning she dreads.
