The REXX programming language contains a structure called an external data queue, commonly known as a stack. The stack forms the communications interface between REXX and the user's keyboard. It is implemented as a set of buffers that holds data coming from the user terminal. Data can be put in the stack from either the keyboard or by a REXX procedure.
